Trout Fishing Come and fish for Rainbow and Brown trout! Just 300 meters walk along the lake front will take you to the Hamurana Stream, fed by the Hamurana Spring where the fishing is excellent and year-round.  Around the lake to the west are more wonderful streams - Awahou, Waiteti, Ngongotaha and to the east, the Ohau Channel - all just waiting for you to cast your line. Professional fly fishing guides can be arranged, they will take you to remote pristine streams where the policy is "catch and release" and you will have the time of your life.  Year round, trolling and harling in Lake Rotorua can also be arranged at a modest price.
